OIAM Grand Finale

The day has finally come (29/2/08)! It is the One In a Million Grand Finale @ Stadium Melawati in Shah Alam. Lets have a little recap on my interest towards OIAM.

On the 21 Dec 2007, my sister Joni successfully made it to the top 12 finalist in OIAM and it was her 1st live show. I was working on that day, so its like I kinda missed it. But, from that show onwards till she became the top 7th. I was there every week to support her while I can also watch the show. Then, it serves me no purpose to attend anymore.

Today, my sister performed as one of the guest performers for the Grand Finale~~ Which I did not manage to see it due to my "fashionably late" arrival to the stadium. Me, Fili and Syamir were so "supportive" to Malaysia's "top" singing contest reality TV-show. It was kinda troublesome to get into the stadium. We were holding Family Contestant's Ticket! But unable to get in due to POOR management which how Syamir described was so true. Anyways, we manage to get in and found a row of empty seats which servers quite a comfy angle and position. From here on, all the picture are taken from this very point where we sat.

Photobucket

Ayu, Singing. Sara was out from the comp during that time.

After she sang, Paul commented she was still having the Ugly duckling feature. Lol, it was so funny till the whole stadium Booed him.

Photobucket

Shila! On the BIG screen

I manage to snap a pic from the projector. She looks clearer from there. And I also took the opportunity to snap a panoramic view of the whole stage.

Photobucket

The panoramic view while Shila was performing 'Contigo En La Distancia'

I personally think Shila is very talented. Besides that, she has the whole package. The looks, the height, stage skills, her well spoken English and her voice. As well as her fellow ex contender, my sis! She asked me to support her since the day she was eliminated from the show. Well, I hope she can win the RM1 mil.

Photobucket

'Stuck + Oops I did it again' by Shila

Here, she can dance and sing at the same time. Paul and Shafinaz gave a good commentary that she saved the best for the last. She Rocks!! Ayu did perform a couple of songs but I was not really interested in cause she looks like a DUCK!!

Then there was a special guest star performer. Malaysia's version of Rain...called HUJAN? ?? ???

Photobucket

1st song: Pagi Yang Gelap

Photobucket

2nd song: Empayarmu
(Everything still looks same)

There wasn't a pause for like 1/2 sec. I was like, Hah? Already the 2nd song..okay.... Really saving lots of time...

Photobucket

This is how the vocalist looks like

So at last "rain" or Hujan did change the stadium's weather as said by Marion. It was indeed a thunderous applause from the crowd. The fans were shouting and screaming their lives out of it for Malaysia's Hujan.

Photobucket

Everyone was on the stage including my sis behind them

Right after their performance, it was time for the results. As usual the 2 host have the results in their hand. This time, it was special. They viewed an animated cheque by 8tv with RM1 mil on it. The name was blurred with mixing up alphabets. Can't really see at 1st, then coming to clearer with SH**IL* that made me and 1/3 of the stadium started cheering!!! Mana tau it changed to AYU clearly and BOOM!!! The whole stadium EXPLODED, stood up and shouted their lungs out. Fans where throwing the 'palm' written her name on it everywhere.

Photobucket

Fire works and flying palms

I came to realize that its kinda deadly when one of those things hit your head or accidentally slice your face. Ouch, people down there were using their palm to shield their heads from shower of flying palms. I was kinda disappointed that Shila dint got the title and the prize instead of that kampung girl.

Photobucket

Everyone celebrating and they both sang 'Aku Bukan Untukmu' for the last time @ OIAM

The show ended there and then after the song. Everyone started to leave in a hurry for I don't know what reason. I, as usual have to wait for my sister. By right, this should be

The End

but, there were more things to come

My sis manage to snug me into the VIP lounge for the after party. Cool nice R&B songs were played there and many Stars were in there. Only by invitation or you are some one from 8tv only can enter. Poor Syamir and Fili waited for me outside where here is my opportunity to Apologize. Sorry ler...I tried to ask my sis to let them in, but they don't let. What can I do?

Photobucket

Photobucket

There are people from OIAM and other shows from 8tv

Photobucket

Here are Hujan doing an interview

To tell the truth, it was my 1st time entering such majestic function. They had the red carpet leading into the hall. Nothing can be seen from outside and here are the stars chilling, catching up, taking photo and having fun. Thanks to my sis, it was a great experience. Malaysia's Hollywood experience.
As usual, I was too shy to go up towards the famous & gorgeous chicks but just to watch from a distance.
Thanks to my sis once again, I manage to take a pic with SHILA! After the 1st pic with her, there were 4-6 reporters rushing towards her to take a good shot. She grab my waist and pull me in with my sis next to her. Snap, snap! snap! snap! The flashes blinded me for a sec and there I felt I was like a Star...

Recent updates of e2 & Snookie

Since December 17th '07, I've not been blogging about myself. If is not my sis's OIAM, is Joshua then the Brotherhood. So, what have I been doing lately??? In late Jan, I had my hair done...Again. "I think I sounds like a typical gurl going to saloon"

Photobucket

This time, there ain't no hair dying.
Yup! Thats right, its Snookie in the bag.

Talking about Snookie, he had grown bigger! I think he is around 1/2 year old now. I do still take him to places. But not really often cause some people don't really like pets. I'd say its Discrimination towards animals!!! Pathetic Asians!!!

Photobucket

Here he is once again...On my dashboard.

On the 21st of Jan, its always Bonnie Jai (Bronson)'s birthday. This makes him 19 this year of '08. Too bad there aren't Jess with him and I have to go for classes. I remembered it was rainy that day.

Photobucket

A cake from Jess for you Boy

One day. we went to Delicious @ One U for lunch. I didn't ordered anything cause I had lunch near Uni earlier. Food there was nice! Delicious indeed. Kinda costly but The juice is worth the squeeze. The cushions was so comfy. Nice to lie down after having meals.

Photobucket

"Mmmmwah! What to do next?"

I think Snookie is looks like a sheep + goat sometimes. So I would randomly take a shot with him. This one is when we were heading to eat Pork Noodles @ Subang on a fine weekend afternoon.

Photobucket

Sheep + Goat = Sheoat = Snookie

At times when I'm lonesome... ya, it sucks these days. I can't make up my mind, can't really stay focus on what I have. I'm so confused... During classes, I don't really take them seriously. Why is this happening to me? But I think I'm getting hold of myself. These days, I'm starting to hang out with John (friend of Joshua's). Josh even recommended me to hang out more with them. He says it makes me feel his presence. Lol, everyone is different leh. U're u, he's him.

Photobucket

I think I look ugly in Pics.

Penang Trip '08 by the Brotherhood

As promised earlier, I here present the the post of Penang trip '08.

It all started a few week before the trip where Joshua and I decided to go to Penang together with Jon and my younger brother Bronson.

1st Day 2/1/08

Casey brought Jon to my house and we went to have breakfast at a nearby kopitiam. I remembered all of us had Pork Noodles for breakfast. Moments later, Casey left We moved out from KL in the late morning which is around 11am+. Our transportation for the trip is Joshua's Mercz-E Class. I drove all the way up to Ipoh from Subang. We had a pit stop at Rawang to get "something" and then proceed straight up to Ipoh as our 2nd pit stop. We dropped Fili at her house and then went to have a tea break at one of Ipoh's famous restaurant.

We then headed for Penang as Joshua drove exactly 1 hour to reach there. We talked crap, brag jokes and sang along the radio all the way while having some very bored times in the car. By the time we reached Penang, it was around 5pm+ - 6pm. Surprisingly we manage to find Miss Jocelyn's house easily as it was just by the main road. I think we gave her a surprise when we appeared in front of her doorstep.

It was the 2nd time to me meeting Jocie. She look prettier compared to the 1st time I met her at KL. Brons and Jon were just the 1st time while Joshua...I don't know :P Hahahaha! We then chatted with Mr. Yong for quite sometime as he needs to see and evaluate our characteristics where every father will do as the daughter is going out with 4 guys. So, we had a wonderful time talking to him. He is a very kind, understanding and generous man! I respect :)

From then on, Jocie became our tour guide for the entire trip. Our 1st destination was Gurney Drive to have our dinner as everyone is starving. I think its around late 7pm - 8m+ after we parked the car. So here is a pic proving the time is right!

Photobucket

There are several photos while we were having dinner but my connection really sucks! So I think I'm too lazy to upload them but to re upload this pic of brather Lee.

Photobucket

"The Juice is worth the squeeze eh!"

After having a wonderful dinner of famous Penang dishes, we headed to Gurney Plaza to shop! Me and Joshua bought something from Padini Concept Store. While heading back towards the car, we've taken several group photos.

Photobucket

Jon said he looks like a retard in this pic

Photobucket

Everyone in the picture, "say T"

Obviously there are more photos taken, but its not essential to post them in. We then toke off to Batu Feringghi to buy DVDs. On the way, this happened.....,

Photobucket

From left, Masked Rider and......Bug eye~~

Photobucket

Wow! Queen BEE!!!

Penang sells the cheapest DVD among KL and Ipoh. They have lots of variety from the biggest hit blockbuster to the lamest movies. The shortest series to the most happening ones. From English shows to Chinese shows. Joshua bought the most, choosing and taking the DVD's like nobody's business. Me and Brons took series, I bought SmallVille and he's was South Park.

Photobucket

Here we have some negotiation to get even more Discounts ($%)

Later, we went to the beach to hear some waves crashing sound and breathe the night sea breeze. We found a hut without noticing it belongs to hotel Golden Sands by the Shang's. Anyways, we sat down there to chill and chat. Jokes from everyone were told and laughter filled the area. Then it comes to the Climax, Jon telling the horror tale that 'based on a true story', Mi Hyung!! Its such a waste that we were unable to capture the reaction of Jocie's after hearing the story (sorrie Jocie). Next was the 'Ten Big Pink Ping Pong Balls' by Jon again. This story was long, I think it took him around 10 - 15 mins to finish the tale. We wanted to drag him towards the sea and dumped him there. Sad to say we were unable to do it due to his humongous body and his incredible strength were not even 3 guys can handle. It literally BORED us for the entire time. Several pic which are worth posting were already posted up. To an addition, here's another one...

Photobucket

Brotherhood & Miss fRaGiLe '08

The day ended around 2am. Jocie's family was so generous for letting us stay at their condominium @ Gelugor called SunnyVille. It was a presidential suit! Thanks to Yong family once again!

2nd Day 3/1/08

Woke up around 9am. Reached Jocie's home around 10.30am. We walked towards the temple somewhere opposite her house. There are 2 temples of the same god but in different position. They is a standing buddha and opposite is the sleeping buddha. Both buddhas are so huge! Gigantic!

Photobucket

Outside the standing buddha's temple. Here is one of the many statues they have.

Photobucket

Inside the temple of the sleeping buddha.

Jon is a very faithful believer of Buddhism. He made prayers and thanks giving in both temples. I can only say "Sorry buddha, me, Brons and Joshua are from a different religion. Visiting you was nice! :)"

Lunch was the next agenda. We had nice Assam Laksa. Famous among Penangnians, Thanks to Jocie we were able to have them..yum yum! Jon tried Kwai Lin Gou for the 1st time, some Chinese remedy jelly is said to be made from tortoises. Very healthy wo...

I didn't take us long to finish up our lunch. The beach at the same place we went the night before is were we carried out our water sports activity. It took Joshua and Brons quite some time to negotiate with ABU! the manager of his own business by the beach providing water sports services. While they were talking, Jon taken this picture (actually there are more than this)....

Photobucket

I get to take a picture with Jocie, only the both of us :P

At last, they came into a conclusion. RM90 for Para sailing, Banana Boat ride x2 rounds and Jet Ski. Its freaking cheap compared to my recent visit during CNY.

Photobucket

Incoming!!! Josh and Jo landing...

Photobucket

Me gearing-up to FLY. Brons??..can't see..

Too bad we were unable to take pics of us riding the Banana Boat and Jet Ski. At once, we almost overturned the Banana Boat. It was scary...Sorry for being such a jackass.. We raced with our powerful Jet Ski. Me and Jon manage to get the Red one. Its a brand new unit while the others are yellow. The older units. There was a Black one. The outlook has already shown its power! That specific one is for Abu to chase us if we went too far or tries to escape. He said the CC was 2 times the one we ride. Overall, I liked Jet Ski most and followed by the sailing in the air! Its like as if I was flying. My favorite moment!

Right after soaking in salt water, we entered the Hotel/Resort's compound for R&R and wash up. Jon approached 2 hot chicks (Ain't that sad, Jon) for a water volley ball game. All of them went into the pool except me. I had to look after our valuables and most importantly take their pics :) A little sacrifice from having fun.

Photobucket

Jocie attempting to serve the ball!
+ Oil (Jia You), Jo!

What a tiring day. huh... We headed back to our Presidential Suit with Jocie. Took shower and dress up nicely for a fine dining. Queen's Bay Mall is just around the neighborhood from SunnyVille. I think around 5-10mins drive. Joshua bought a lot of clothing in there. Levi's, edc & topman. The rest bought McD's snacks cause everyone was really hungry. Just a short walk in the mall, we shot right straight up to QE II near the jetty. I would rather call it a pub than a diner. Now here is where we meet up with Jo's friends. Interesting people after the ice was broken. We start telling tales from KL, jokes of the pope & ah Seng and Mi Hyung story. P. Sober aka Pey Yau (Wei Jin) was the bomb!!! He's damn 'pey' after he had 2 glass of Tiger. He even got stunned after hearing Mi Hyung! LOL, funniest moment with them back then.

Photobucket

Before we depart, lets have a group photo to remember this day.
1st left: P. Sober flying alr

To be surprise, Wei Jin's car number plate was PEY ####. Its has the exact spelling that spells "pey yau". They guys suggested for pool cause among us, Jon was the best player. Mana tau, to find out that P. Sober was the Champ!
Jo was a beginner for pool, her tutor before was Wei Jin. Now I think Josh can take over from here on... :P

Photobucket

I was her challenger! Josh can't interfere but only tutoring. Hehehe!

Its late after pool. The whole center waited for us to finish the game before closing up. We sent Jocie back and we headed back to have a good nite rest too. It was also around 2am++ before sleep.

3 day 4/1/08 ~ Final Day

Days pass by like seconds. Not realizing it was already the final day. Low in cash & energy. Tired and sleepy as we woke up around the same time. Its just I don't understand why Jon was on our bed (me and Brons) the next morning half naked. Luckily I wasn't sleeping in the middle. Honestly, I don't know what Brons and he did for the night. Josh was the one who caught them side by side. Eeeewww...!!

After brunch, we headed to youth park instead of going to Golden Sand Resort for Jon to play basketball with some chick he met at the pool yesterday (Jon, does it feels even worse now?). He was so upset and he got himself stuck in the slide just like several years ago at KFC Subang.

Photobucket

History repeats
"Help! Help! call the fire department!!"
"My Friend is STUCK!!"

Amazing Race to the top! Let see who can climb up 1st. I manage to reach the top 1st, but thats just my palm. KEKEKEKE...Cheating, shhh~~~

Photobucket

Yatta!!
Brotherhood '08

Photobucket

Lets take a group photo

Ouch, Grrhhhh!!! It hurts.. Reflexology!
Josh : Don't step on the back ones. It causes the pain. Careful guys!
I was like: Sure or not? All seems to be the same wan. PAINFUL!!!!!!!
Jo: I can't tahan anymore. Very painful. eeee!
Me & Jon : Piggy back her Josh! Be a Man. No, be a SPARTAN!

And there he goes, a mighty Spartan doing his training!

Photobucket

Just look at Josh, so strong and mighty. Jo is in safe arms.
Don't look at me, I'm falling... ouch!

What a great experience. It really makes a difference after walking through the torturing path. I felt energetic and my feet were not so stiff as before. We even get to know a teacher from Aussie called Haley. She was friendly. Also a very brave woman to be traveling alone. We had some famous 'Ubat' cendol of Penang at the town area. Its very well known to the locals according to Jocie. Just like ours in Subang. They put 'ubat' in the cendols so that people will go back to them for craving for more cendols. We told Haley cendols are green worms. LOL.

Perangin mall's parking make us all dizzy. Its more than 6 stories of circling upwards. Joshua bought lots of DVDs from there again. Total DVDs bought worth more than RM300. I cost about 1k if hew ould have bought them in KL. We also came across a magic stall. Brons and Jon performed 'Magic' to the stall owner to impress him. Showing some Aces that we also have. Josh bought a magic card trick Manual and a deck of cards where a card can rise up without pulling it. Once the trick's secret is exposed, it is no surprise at all.

At last, when all of us are tired, some wanted to make Shitake Mushrooms so badly. Its getting late too, the time was around 5pm++ and we were supposed to head back to KL before my sister's competition in OIAM starts. It means that we can't stay longer at the mall even tough there were lots of things we haven't explored. Some final shots before the battery dies in SunnyVille.

is always the best!

Joshua once quoted for sad moments;

"Food has lost its taste,
Colors seems to fade away,
Things that matter doesn't matter anymore!"

But with miss fRaGiLe around, e2 quotes;

"You have brought Food its taste,
Colors faded are back today,
Things that doesn't matter, matters even more!"

The end of the wonderful trip in Penang Island
